Welcome!

This is a place for me to share what's going on in my studio, as well as in my life as an artist living in the lower Hudson Valley of New York. I'm just an hour from Manhattan, so I often go into the city to view exhibitions and gallery shows, and I'm near the Hudson River with it's gorgeous views. I also spend some time in the area west of the valley, which is filled with rolling hills and farmland, rock walls and stone houses going back to the 1700's. It just doesn't get much better for a painter.

I'll take you along on plein-air painting excusions, meet-ups with other area painters, both to paint, and visit museums and show openings.

I'm fortunate to have a great group of artist friends who inspire me, challenge me, and maybe most of all, share that common understanding of what it's really like to deal with the daily balancing act of being a painter/parent/spouse/business person all wrapped up in one.

I hope you find good stuff for your head and heart here!
Susan
